We will tell you about our first visit to Crete and hotel Vritomartis. It happened at the end of June in the summer of 2013. Μe and my girlfriend Eli left for the dream island of Crete. Due to the long road we chose to travel by bus to Athens and then by ferry to the second largest city of Crete – Chania. After a long journey on motorways we arrived at Athens and we got on the ferry. After a romantic night on the ship “Eliros” we landed at the port of Souda in Chania town in the early morning. We got on the bus that takes us to the small town of Chora Sfakion. Road passing through a passage of the majestic mountain Lefka Ori. The moment we stepped on Crete we were fascinated by the grandeur and beauty of the largest island in the Mediterranean.

Nude beaches differ from other general entertainment and personal recreation spots in that they allow anyone the freedom to go naked whenever they deem it fit. There are rules of course, but these are essentially meant to ensure the comfort and optimal enjoyment of the users. Over the years, nude beaches have become acceptable and legal in the face of the public and the authorities and are even protected by the powers that be. In addition to that, people have slowly become open to the idea of swimming, walking and frolicking around in the nude, something you might be quite familiar with. If you enjoy the natural freedom of going all out naked, then nude beaches are the perfect place to start.

Naturists preparing to bare all this Easter may have to keep their clothes on if a last-minute decision is made in favour of a group opposing KwaZulu-Natal’s first legal nudist beach.

PENTICTON — A debate over a clothing-optional beach in Penticton is heating up. Some property owners near 3 Mile Beach are telling the nudists to go somewhere else to sunbathe, but the nudists just want to be able to use the beach without controversy, asking city council to intervene.
The nudists are also soliciting the help of a prominent naturist, who’s also a member of Vancouver’s Wreck Beach Preservation Society.
ARE you a fan of getting an all-over tan? Then you need to put these best nude beaches from around the world on your bucket list.
Whether you’re a newbie to nude beaches or a lifelong naturist, these are the nude beaches that you should visit for a pleasant (and not-weird) experience.

What Can Naturists Do To Make Society More Accepting of Naturism?
Recently one of our YNA facebook group members posted a statement about the need for us naturists to get more aggressive in promoting our lifestyle. One of the main points was that we can never fully realize a normal life of nudie fun while we are constantly looked down upon by greater society, and in some cases outright persecution by the law. The question discussed in the post, which is also discussed widely in the greater naturist community is, what can we actually do to make society more accepting of our naturist lifestyle? In attempting to answer this question I noticed that one of the main problems is that such dialog can quickly become highly theoretical, esoteric and far too idealistic.
We’ve come a long way from the early 1900s when ladies and gents on the beach were covered from their knees to their shoulders.
Now we’re rocking teeny tiny bikinis and schlong thongs.
However, many of us blush at the thought of stripping down to our birthday suits, while nudists dare to go bare.
Here’s 10 reasons why you should Join them – at least once. Continue reading
American exceptionalism may have gotten us to the moon and back, but when it comes to actually mooning each other (you know, on the beach), we’re not exactly world-beaters. Europe, by contrast, is in a completely different league when it comes to shoreline skinny-dipping.
Naturism is a deep rooted culture in Greece and a practice that has rubbed off to other citizens in different parts of the world. More and more people are just getting to discover this age old culture and hence the importance of this series of posts. We have been looking at the naturism culture in Greece with special focus on the naturist beaches. The recurring memo from these posts has been the relaxed feeling naturist beaches have to offer when one is on holiday. Of all the countries in Europe with the best holiday destinations, Greece is one of the best with the beaches to match.
