The New Hampshire government has recently struck down an effort that would make it illegal for women to public bear their breasts in public. Apparently a bill had been introduced into the House of Representative (the law making authority in US states) in response to the Free The Nipple movement, that would have outlawed public exposure of the female nipple. Moreover, anyone found in violation wold have been added to the state’s sex offender list.
The grievousness of this attempt is staggering:
Firstly, in these times of sparse state resources, shrinking government budgets and increased pressure for government services is this really where lawmakers should be putting their effort? Laws are expensive to pass and even more costly to administer and enforce. Surely the government and policy on New Hampshire have better things to look out for than an exposed nipple.
